Farm Fact
Since 2003 Sara and Paul Freid have welcomed hundreds of un-housed people to live with them. This started in their apartment in St. Paul, blossomed at the Winona Minnesota Catholic Worker, and continues at the Lake City Catholic Worker Farm today.

To welcome anyone who comes to our farm
Offering hospitality
On our farm we have a room available where we "offer hospitality" to a person or family who needs a place to live and rest for a few days to a year. This is a very personal type of experience allowing people to join the community and be part of a family setting.Â
A place to grow together
We know that living with others allows us all to learn together. We are not a place where we people in need come to be helped. Instead we are blessed to all grow together through the interactions with anyone who comes to live with us.
A place to learn
Through student group visits and internships we welcome people to come and learn how to grow food, live in community, work and play together.
Our current limitations
We hope to offer skill and employment opportunities for our guests in the future. A new building would allow us to have multiple opportunities to work alongside our guests and visitors.
