Food is Medicine

“To ferment your own food is to lodge a small but eloquent protest... against the homogenization of flavors and food... It is also a declaration of independence from an economy that would much prefer we remain passive consumers of its standardized commodities.

Farm Fact
Since 2019 the Farm has been selling kombucha at an outdoor beverage bar (John the Baptist Beverage Company) attracting visitors from all over the Midwest who want to experience uniquely delicious fermented non-alcoholic beverages.

Our Values

Creating food and beverages that are locally sourced, healthy, and delicious.
Kombucha
Kombucha is our flagship product that we sell on the farm. Kombucha is a refreshing, lightly sparkling tea with a balance of sweet and tangy flavors. It's a delicious, healthier alternative to soda and other sugary drinks.
Locally Sourced Flavors and Ingredients
"What does this place taste like?" is a question we try to answer with our products. We strive to use fruits, vegetables, and herbs that are grown in Minnesota and Wisconsin. When we cannot source an item locally we purchase Fair Trade certified and organic products.

Future Foods and Beverages
The future of fermented foods in our country is bright as everyone from doctors to dieticians are recognizing the importance of gut microbiome health. In the future we hope to produce products such as kimchi, kefir, sauerkraut, and sourdough bread.
Our current limitations
Our commercial kitchen on the farm is running at full capacity. We are in need of a larger space to expand our fermented food offerings.
