Standing against nuclear weapons
Not only would the use of nuclear weapons cause untold suffering to innocent people and environmental degradation, The DOE’s plans to operate, sustain, and modernize current nuclear forces and purchase new forces would cost a total of $946 billion over the 2025–2034 period, or an average of about $95 billion a year, CBO estimates. Let's spend our money to promote peasce instead!
Modeling peace
We try to embody non-violence on our farm and how we work through conflict with the many people who have lived on our farm and we use our money to uplift the dignity of all our guests and farmers we work with. We believe this is the way to peace locally and around the whole world.
Inviting others to learn
The issue of nuclear weapons is not on the forefront of most peoples minds but it should be. Consider learning more about the The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons is a global civil society coalition working to promote adherence to and full implementation of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
Learning as we go
We don't have all the answers. But we know that the production, maintenance, and threat of nuclear war will not bring about a better society. We are continually trying to learn more about this issue.
