Farm Fact
Since 2021 the farm has hosted over 1,400 student visitors to the farm to learn about the connections between soil health, growing food, brain health, and raising farm animals humanely.
Our Values
Everyone should have the opportunity, knowledge, and confidence to grow healthy food.
Getting hands dirty
Learning is best done by doing. We have developed a program by which students plant vegetables in teh spring and come back in the fall to harvest the veggies they planted.
In the classroom
We have had opportunities to visit schools before students come to the farm to help prepare them for the farm visit. This helps students to be prepared for, and retain, what they learn when planting and harvesting food.Â
Raising animals
Raising farm animals outside, eating fresh forage and producing good food is an important aspect of arming students need to see and experience.
Our current limitations
We have hosted groups as large at 94 students. We have limited indoor teaching space, in case of inclement weather, and restrooms. A building would allow us to host students year round and expand the type of instruction we provide.

We have hosted a variety of adult education groups focused on Restoration Agriculture, Racial Justice, Deep Winter Greenhouse Growing and more!
